At Franklins Colchester (Head Office) we are extremely proud of our 10,000-square-foot store.

Dress Fabrics – A large area of the shop is dedicated to stocking a great selection of evening wear, casual, bridal, basic and fashion fabrics. On average we would stock over 2200 different fabrics at any one time. Plus with new season fabrics coming in monthly and additional fabrics coming in weekly, you can rest assured that we’re the best place to pick up the latest dress fabrics.

Dress Patterns – Looking to start a new project? Have a look through our dress pattern books. We stock all fabric patterns from the leading manufacturer’s Simplicity, Butterick, McCalls, Burda, Vogue and New Look to help you on your new creative journey.

Our Upholstery Departments are only available at our Colchester, Ipswich & Salisbury store.

Recently we have increased our upholstery departments so we can offer customers a larger selection of fabrics and upholstery accessories. We have over 100 different prints of upholstery fabrics, vinyl, table protectors, and upholstery accessories.

CUT-TO-SIZE Foam Service – Want to replace your thin and uncomfortable foam in your sofa? We stock 1″, 2″, 3″, 4″ and 5″ thick foam. Come in or contact us with your required measurements (even better a template) and we will cut the foam for you. We can even cut out foam for musical instrument cases.
