The knitting departments at Franklins in Colchester and Salisbury are the biggest in the south of the country. Our knitting shops stock products from the major wool suppliers, including James Brett, West Yorkshire Spinners, Sirdar, Stylecraft, Wendy, Rico and King Cole with modern up-to-date patterns.

Our baby knitting section includes top designs from Stylecraft Bambino, Sirdar Snuggly, Wendy Peter Pan, Sublime Merinos, James Brett, Supreme Baby and West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep with books and patterns to melt your heart.

We have pure wools, wool mixes, cotton mix yarns, sock yarns, chenille yarns and felting yarns – in fact every sort of wool, mix and yarn that you could wish for.

Alongside our wools we have knitting needles, crochet hooks, pom pom makers, knitting needles, Tunisian crochet hooks, Knit Pro needles and sets and all sorts of clever accessories for our knitters.  Not forgetting the all important knitting and craft bags to hold all your projects!
